Hours and Closing Policy?
The Market is open every Saturday Year-Round from 7 am to Noon (Rain, Snow, or Shine!) We close only when the city has issued an extreme weather alert or it falls on a major holiday (like Christmas morning, as it does in 2021), due to the unavailability of farmers and customers, alike.
The Market has 40 spaces (plus one ADA Accessible); the one-way entrance is from Abell Street just below 33rd Street. Please be mindful of other Market Guests when exiting! Free parking is available on nearby streets and a short walk away at the Giant Food parking lot (East 33rd and Frisby Streets) and Peabody Heights Brewery (East 30th and Barclay Streets). Please keep alleys and curb cuts open to allow for strollers and wagons, and don’t park in private/business lots.
Sidewalk racks at 32nd and Barclay Streets can hold four bikes. Watch for additional racks to be installed soon!
From the Purple Circulator stop at St. Paul and 32nd, walk four blocks east. From the CityLink RED bus stop at 32nd and Greenmount, walk one block west.
Love ’em, but not at the Market, unless it’s a service dog on a leash.
Cash? Credit/Debit cards? SNAP, WIC, SFMNP vouchers? Maryland Market Money?
The Market accepts them all! See Market Manager or Market Master for details.
Baltimore’s new plastic-bag ban does NOT apply to “food and goods obtained at a farmers’ market.” You can read the details here. However, we are voluntarily reducing the usage of single-use plastic bags in our Market to necessity items and special circumstances only by January 2022!
Bringing your own bags, plastic and otherwise, is strongly encouraged! If you would like to purchase a reusable tote bag, we have them available at the Market Manager booth and will also have limited quantities of donated bags for families in need. (Anyone can donate their extra bags to the Market!)
We sure do! We offer free compost drop-off, courtesy of the Baltimore Office of Sustainability. The bins are conveniently located behind Pahl’s Farm (Space 46 on the Market Map) in the main parking lot. A list of compost Do’s & Don’ts will soon follow!
Our year-long seasonal vendor, Compost Crew, also offer residential (and commercial) food waste recycling services! Check out their booth located in the center of the Main Market.
Street performers wishing to present at the Market must have a current City buskers permit and request an opportunity to perform. Contact the Market Manager [link]. Acoustic music only!
Enjoy just-purchased take-away foodstuffs at tables and benches in the Waverly Commons ‘Design for Distancing’ community space.
The Market follows the City’s guidelines on public health and safety. Look for signs at the Market and posts on social media.
